Summer Soulstice Music Festival

If you're hankering for some original music, great local bands, fantastic street food and good old-fashioned family fun, look no further than the East Side.

The 12th Annual Summer Soulstice festival will take place on June 23, and as always it promises good music and good times.

Murray Street will be the site of the debut "family-friendly" entertainment, sponsored by the Milwaukee Wave and the Discovery World Lab, from noon to 6 p.m. Expect to see Bernie Brewer and his pals the Racing Sausages. Learn to make your own pottery to take home, watch musicians, jugglers and balloon artists strut their stuff, or get your face painted.

Local restaurants and vendors will be on hand to cater to your every craving. And let's not forget about the music lineup. As usual, it's packed with local favorites.
