Lakefront Festival of Arts

The 50th annual Lakefront Festival of the Arts kicks is a three-day showcase of paintings, ceramics, fiber, metalwork, jewelry and more. Featuring 176 jury-selected artists from across the nation, the festival raises funds that help the Milwaukee Art Museum acquire new works for the Museum’s permanent collection. Attractions will include live music and entertainment, the Milwaukee Magazine Wine Garden, the sculpture garden, the PNC Children’s Experience, a Posters of Paris sand sculpture and a silent auction. Admission to the festival is $15, but advance tickets are available for $8 online.

Venue Description:
The Milwaukee Art Museum's collection comprises more than 20,000 works of art from ancient to contemporary and is housed in a trio of unique structures from Eero Saarinen's 1950s building through a David Kahler section added in the 1970s and the Santiago Calatrava-designed Quadracci Pavilion.
The museum houses 15th to 20th century European and American paintings, sculptures, prints, drawings, photographs, decorative arts, folk art, Haitian art and outsider art.
MAM's cafe also offers great lunches in a luminous setting with lake views.
