The Entertainment of Louis XV

Early Music Now presents Masques, from Montreal, performing "The Entertainment of Louis XV." Marquise de Pompadour continued to sponsor concerts for the king long after they ceased to be lovers. This young Canadian ensemble provides a vivid sampling of the musical entertainment that this harpsichordist and patron of the arts contributed to France’s cultural legacy.
