Chinese New Year's Celebration

Feb. 1, 2013 - Feb. 2, 2013

Visit the Domes for a family-friendly celebration of the Chinese New Year. The Domes will be decorated with traditional lanterns, ribbons and calligraphic greetings. Activities will teach kids about Chinese New Year customs, and there will be an opportunity to enjoy dance lessons, folk music, a dragon parade, crafts, a floral show and authentic Chinese treats. Admission is $6.50 for adults, $5 for kids under the age of 18.

Venue Description:

Mitchell Park Horticultural Conservatory or "The Domes" is a Milwaukee original. The facility consists of three 85-foot domes. One contains a desert environment, another houses tropical plants and the third changes to match the seasons. A trip to the Domes will cure even the worst weather blues.
