Contreras marches the Dia de los Muertos parade into Milwaukee

This year marks the fifth anniversary of Milwaukee's Dia de los Muertos (Day of the Dead) parade and celebration, which takes place Saturday, Nov. 1 from noon to 5 p.m. in Walker Square Park. Milwaukee's Celeste Contreras has organized the parade since its inception in 2010 and recently checked in with Contreras to find out more.

Bradford Shovlin arrives from Chicago, where he spent time at Crofton on Wells which earned a Michelin star during his tenure. Since his arrival, Shovlin has re-written all the hotel's menus and is fostering a partnership with his former boss Suzy Crofton. We caught up with him to learn more about him, his food and what makes him tick.

There is an almost overwhelming "here we go again" feeling now that the operators of the best gentlemen's club in Milwaukee have filed a pair of applications to open another club south of Downtown. This time, unlike the previous go-rounds, Silk may have a fairly good chance of actually opening a strip club near Downtown ... if a couple of things fall into place.
