Emotions run the gamut during Brewers' streak
I shouldn't be depressed, but I am. As soon as Rickie Weeks was replaced after his first at-bat on Sunday, I had a bad feeling that this wasn't something minor. Reality struck Monday when the news from Arizona said the Weeks would be out for the year with a torn tendon sheath -- this time in his left wrist.

What's the big deal with Braun?
I can't figure out what all of the hubbub over the behavior of Ryan Braun is all about. Seriously, is he the first guy to watch some of his home runs? Is it really any different than Sammy Sosa hopping out of the box every time he even hit a ball out of the infield?

Is Bolt for real?
Has BALCO moved across the water to Jamaica? Usain Bolt, the gigantic, elegant and explosive Jamaican sprinter just joined Carl Lewis and Jesse Owens as the third person in history to win both the 100 meter and 200 meter in the same Olympics.

MLB draft needs re-tooling
MLB held its annual amateur selection draft this past week, and all 30 teams re-stocked their farm systems. Mostly with players even those that follow baseball have never even heard of. This was the 41st edition of the annual June Draft, but the original format is now outdated.
