Why does the Journal Sentinel care how much Don Smiley makes?
I am one of the people in Milwaukee who doesn't mind that Summerfest chief Don Smiley makes a lot of money and I am one of a handful who knows why this is such a big story for the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel. The newspaper has always been obsessed with how much money people who don't work for the newspaper make. When I say "obsessed," I am not exaggerating. I have very personal experience with this.

Michelle Rutkowski is the person you can thank (or blame) for the music you hear on FM 102.1. As music director, she's constantly scouting out new music and working with record labels to pick the station's lineup. And, because FM102.1 isn't affiliated with other alternative stations around the country, Rutkowski selects songs tailored for Milwaukee listeners. But Rutkowski is also a mid-day DJ. Sue Black takes over ownership of the Milwaukee Wave
In an announcement made at U.S. Cellular Arena on April 3, Jim Lindenberg sold the Milwaukee Wave Professional Indoor Soccer Team and its 501(c)3 charitable arm Wave of Hope to president and CEO Sue Black.

Longtime Veterans Park paddleboat vendor loses contract
Tim and Val Ritter report that, after 16 years, they have lost their contract with the Milwaukee Parks Department. They have to dismantle their shed and remove all equipment by April 18. Juneau Park Paddleboats will be replaced at the lagoon by California-based Wheel Fun Rentals, a franchise which operates close to 100 locations around the country.

The Milwaukee Bucks have nine games left in the regular season, and sit at 36-37. Believe it or not, the team has been very consistent this year - but in the most frustrating of ways.
