Jake's Deli makes Grand entrance
Today, I gave the new Jake's a try, and you know what? The tiny storefront below the food court tastes exactly like Jake's. Which is awesome. I ordered a corned beef sandwich on rye with mustard for $8.24 and attempted to complement that with a bowl of matzo ball soup. Oddly, Jake's was out of matzo ball soup at 11:30 a.m., so I went with chips and an iced tea.

Buckley's story is pure small-town Milwaukee
We all know that Milwaukee has hopes of growing and becoming a major metropolitan center. But as we think of things to sell, we may well want to consider what a small town this city is. The truth was driven home over the weekend when my wife and I had a wonderful dinner at Buckley's, a great restaurant on Cass Street Downtown.

What I crave from the Milwaukee dining scene
I don't really have a lot of complaints about the Milwaukee dining scene. For a city of its size, Milwaukee has amazing restaurants, chefs and diversity. In fact, per capita, one would be very hard-pressed to find a city that's better. My biggest complaints, I guess, is that I don't have enough time to try everything. But if I had to nitpick, there are a few additions I'd like to see in town.
