Music and sports films highlight LGBT Film Fest
The Milwaukee Short Film Festival is behind us and the debut Milwaukee Film Festival is under our belt, too. But don't think for a minute that the film scene has quieted down here. No, now it's time for the 22nd annual LBGT Film / Video Festival, which takes places Oct. 15-25 at the UWM Union Theatre, the Oriental Theatre and the Milwaukee Art Museum.

Andy Warhol is easily one of the most recognizable, famous and definitely most prolific American artists that ever lived. Not only are there a seemingly endless array of museum exhibits dedicated to his special work, but there are also entire museums created just to display his talents and educate the masses about his fascinating existence.

MAM exhibit explores impact of Pop artists
From Thursday, September 7 through December 31, the Milwaukee Art Museum hosts a sampling of some of the best Pop works made in "Pop Impact! From Johns to Warhol," an exhibition of about 40 works from the collection of New York's Whitney Museum of American Art.
