When Yessica Jimenez was four years old, all of her preschool work was returned to her parents because it was covered in doodles. Jimenez, now 23, is an independent artist working to connect with artists across genres, Milwaukee Neighborhood News Service reports.

This past week, a mural with Gov. Scott Walker's face and the words "down with the bitches and the hoes" went up on the side of the building that houses South Shore Gallery & Framing, 2627 S. Kinnickinnic Ave.
