Sixteen years ago, Marina Lee sculpted and painted a group of whimsical public art "creatures" for the Cass Street School playground, 1647 N. Cass St. Lee is currently repainting five of the colorful animal hybrids for the first time.

Todd Mrozinski has traced and painted more than 100 shadows of friends, family members and local artists - many of whom are drinking, a few eating and some contemplating or gazing. The series will soon be on display at Cafe Lulu and he is also currently accepting commissions.

The Milwaukee Public Library's Board of Trustees has green-lighted discussions between the library and the Grohmann Museum, 1000 N. Broadway, at Milwaukee School of Engineering, that could bring $1 million to MPL in exchange for loaning Carl Spitzweg's painting, "The Bookworm," to the museum.
