I didn't have many nice things to say back when Tim Burton released "Dark Shadows," but considering "Frankenweenie" is coming out this weekend, I'm thinking we start fresh. As a sign of good will, here are five Tim Burton movies that give merit to the director's reputation of quality and creativity.

There's been much ado about the crucial final film of Nolan's third installment. But, much to the relief of fans, "The Dark Knight Rises" was the final Batman film audiences both needed and deserved.

What the last couple of Batman movies lacked in energy, "Batman Begins" more than makes up for, keeping the dialogue funny and believable, and the action tight and engaging. If "Batman Begins" is the final episode of the saga, at least it goes out with a bang, pow, zap!
