Their 5-7 record may not conjure visions of playoff prowess, but the Brewers remain in the hunt and could be a an adjustment or two away from being a playoff contender. They've also shown some flaws that could torpedo their season. Bottom line: it's too early to draw conclusions either way.

Too bad Brewers all-stars Ryan Braun, Prince Fielder and Trevor Hoffman are no longer in grade school. They could write a great paper entitled, "What I did on my summer vacation: Met the President." The three greeted the Commander in Chief before the American League's 4-3 victory Tuesday night at Busch Stadium. "It was pretty special," he said. "It's not something very many people get to experience."
