Adele took the cake at last night's Grammys, but she did leave room for a slice of Wisconsin recognition. Bon Iver won both "Best New Artist" and "Best Alternative Album" for his self-titled album that came out in March 2011.

Eau Claire native Justin Vernon, who performs as Bon Iver, was named Artist of the Year at the 29th annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards, which were presented Monday night at Turner Ballroom. Legendary soul musician Harvey Scales and producer Butch Vig were inducted into the WAMI Hall of Fame and OnMilwaukee.com won an award for print/electronic media.
