Sure, kids love chowing out of boxes at the golden arches, but Milwaukee is filled with many other easy, affordable restaurants just waiting to clean the food, sugar packets and forgotten small toys from under your table.

Creature of culinary habit
What's my favorite Milwaukee restaurant? I could name a dozen places, but in actuality, I tend to order the same dish at every restaurant. No, I don't order a hamburger at every restaurant -- what I'm saying is that every time I go to Lulu, I order the East Indian chicken pita, and every time I go to Yen Ching, I order the Mongolian beef.

Conejito's offers speedy service, cheap food
In 1972, José Garza opened the popular Mexican restaurant, Conejito's Place in Walker's Point. Since then, the no-frills eatery unofficially landed on the A-list of underrated Milwaukee establishments and has an almost cult-like following.
