Hrebejk's film dramatizes Czech society's ups and downs
In "Up and Down," director and co-screenwriter Jan Hrebejk takes his first look at contemporary Czech society using three interwoven plot lines. The film was the Czech Republic's submission for the Academy Award for Best Foreign Language Film.
