Jazz drummer Sam Belton has long since nurtured his love of coffee in Milwaukee. After dreaming about it for a while, Belton opened his City.Net Cafe in the Enderis Park neighborhood in 2004. Though that location is closed, Belton - who also sells coffee in the County Courthouse - is in his second week of business in East Town, where he's set up his latest jazz- and caffeine-fueled City.Net in the former Dunkin' Donuts at 306 E. Wisconsin Ave.

Milwaukee made yet another national list today as it was named one of America's top 12 "ArtPlaces" today by ArtPlace, a collaboration of 13 leading national and regional foundations, eight federal agencies including the National Endowment for the Arts, and six of the nation's largest banks.

For years, one of my Dad's friends has raved about a Storm the Bastille T-shirt design from the late 1980s that he simply refers to it as the "suspender T-shirt." Until last night, I hadn't seen it. Now that I have, I want it.
