Costello & The Imposters pump it up as Summerfest prepares to tear down
Elvis Costello and the Imposters headlined the M&I Classic Rock on the south end of the grounds Sunday night as Summerfest 2009 came to a close. And Costello clearly took heed of the name of the stage when writing out the exactly two-hour set list.

Love `em or hate `em, CDs have changed a music fan's life. Thousands of records long out of print started to become available again once CDs took hold in the mid-1980s. Listening to a reissue of Elvis Costello's "King of America" reminded me of how my life has improved thanks to having heard some of its secret songs. Somewhere in the Quisling Clinic...
Staying in the Edgewater Hotel in Madison meant I regularly walked past the Quisling Clinic, 2 W. Gorham St., made famous by Elvis Costello in his 1979 tune, "Green Shirt," from the "Armed Forces" LP. Well, he made it famous among his fans.
