Ball, slipper and magic come to life in "Cinderella"

When lighting, textures and scenery pop on a screen - especially in a familiar tale that we've envisioned ourselves - we can be transported. In the case of Disney's "Cinderella," we feel like we are there, interacting with the characters at the royal ball, waiting for the clock to strike 12 times.

We have to wait several more months before "The Force Awakens" unleashes itself upon the world, likely nabbing pretty much every box office record in the galaxy in the process. In the meantime, there's plenty of "Star Wars" related home entertainment - "LEGO Star Wars: The New Yoda Chronicles" and season one of "Star Wars Rebels" - to keep our spare time engrossed in the universe.

"The Room" is a not bad movie. Bad movies are nothing special to Hollywood; one comes out pretty much every weekend. No, "The Room" is more like an unholy miracle of awful filmmaking, a movie that fails so incredibly hard it becomes an almighty success in the process. The new cult classic is coming to the Oriental Theatre this weekend, so we asked its creator Tommy Wiseau a few questions. And no, not "So anyway, how's your sex life?"
