The new university protest at UWM
The regents' meeting last week at UWM sparked protests, but not from students. It was the neighbors of the university that came to voice their displeasure with a possible UWM expansion on the East Side.

Madison lets the sun shine in
Here's an idea that could lower Milwaukee heating and electric bills. The City of Madison kicked off a program to double that city's use of solar energy by 2010. It even has a catchy name -- MadiSUN.

Council may pump down the volume at Sugar
Another teen dance club has run afoul of the city as aldermen will hear a recommendation by the Licenses Committee that Sugar, a club in Walker's Point, have its license suspended for 10 days.
