Milwaukee's new Samson: The Milwaukee lion belongs in the zoo

I love the Milwaukee lion. I love it as a story, and I love it as a community bridge. The Milwaukee lion has actually accomplished something exceptionally rare in Wisconsin these days: It's uniting people, and it's given us a common conversation. And I think it would be sheer genius if officials captured the Milwaukee lion and put the lion in the Milwaukee County Zoo.

The Tailgate for Peace is June 16, and the only catch is that you'll have to also hang out with me and my lovely wife, Stephanie. Stephanie and I are truly honored to serve as hosts of the event that includes the game from the Gehl Club, an awesome catered meal, top shelf beverages, a silent auction, Hank and much more.

When Brewers fans talk to me about Spring Training, I always see the same look in their eyes. "I've always wanted to do that," they say wistfully, like Arizona exists in some far-away land, where you sit right next to the field and talk to the players in between in innings. Well, actually, most of that's true. Except for the far-away land part.
