We're no strangers to Kenosha. We've been to the public museum, we've taken streetcar rides, we shop at Tenuta's. But we'd never seen the Dinosaur Discovery Museum before, so over the holiday break, I loaded the kids into the car and after the mandatory Tenuta's stop, we headed straight over.
Sure, Chef Tony Mantuano is from Kenosha and he's really made his name in Chicago, but a little part of him belongs to Milwaukee, too. As Mantuano preps to make a return visit to Kohler for the annual Food and Wine Experience, we got a chance to ask him about his Wisconsin roots, his connection to Milwaukee and more.
Kenosha's Tony Mantuano is a star in Chicago (thanks to Spiaggia) and beyond (thanks to his television appearances). But he's not too busy to keep one eye on Twitter. When we arrived in Chicago Friday evening, I tweeted that I hoped to get a table at his Bar Toma. Mantuano quickly responded.

Fruit Bats play the U.S. Cell Stage at 4:15 p.m. on Wednesday, June 27.

Sunday June 17th, 2012 – Kenosha, WI I took a nice relaxing day off today to hang out with friends and enjoy life. Other than trying to help as many people as possible, that’s about all that’s even close to being important. If life is not fun, why live at all? Th...
Friday February 17th, 2012 - Kenosha, WI Oh, how I wish I could live my life over again and make smarter decisions. I wish there would be some kind of a loud warning alarm that goes off right before a person was about to make an epic blunder that would take years to live down. B...
