Unlike the ordinary apples you can find at the supermarket, heirloom/antique apples possess unique flavor profiles. Some taste of pears. Others of spices like clove or anise. And others are tart or berry-like. And thanks to a new Milwaukee company called Sunny Slope, their prized characteristics will now be showcased in a variety of preserves and sauces, including apple marmalade.
