Kimpton Hotels comes to town
Kimpton Hotels will build a 180-room hotel in the Park East at the Sydney Hih building location and around the mainly undeveloped block near Old World 3rd and 4th Streets, and Juneau and McKinley Avenues.

Let me just say, I love the Oriental Theater. It's one of my favorite places in Milwaukee. It's a beautiful treasure on our East Side, and a wonderful place to watch a movie. Just not tonight.

This Sucks: We want Downtown movies!
Just look at any old photo of Downtown Milwaukee and you'll see a downtown strip lined with movie houses. These days, the closest "Downtown movie theater" is the Oriental or Prospect Mall Cinema, both of which are by no means Downtown. Brew City needs a Downtown cinema.
