A new Bob Marley documentary film is on the way and so is a two-CD soundtrack, also available on three vinyl LPs.

With apologies to Nick Hornby, I'm not much of a list-maker anymore. Sure, I was the music geek kid with a list -- and a ready-made mix tape -- for every eventuality, but now I love music more than I enjoy trying to quantify it.

If you've read any of my rambling blogs, you might already think I'm crazy. But here's a little more fodder for you: I actually really enjoyed my MRI this afternoon at Columbia St. Mary's Milwaukee Campus.

On my first visit to Good Life, I enjoyed the food. But even more, I enjoyed going to a Caribbean-themed business that didn't feature tie-dyed-looking murals featuring Bob Marley's face and the whole schlocky, cynical exploitation of the departed superstar. Even better, there was not a hint of Buffett anywhere!!

For a city its size, Milwaukee's tentacles reach far and wide. For example, while chatting with Bob Marley aficionado Roger Steffens two decades ago, I learned that Ras Rojah spent some time in Brew City in the 1960s and he created his long-running one-man show in Milwaukee.
