Shi Chai opened quietly in Riverwest last week, and thanks to a cozy-yet-spacious atmosphere, stellar menu and "shisha" smoking, it's the most promising venture to open in the area since African restaurant and nightclub, Club Timbuktu.

Yaffa restaurant to bring exotic flavors to Riverwalk
A long-vacant Riverwalk restaurant space in the Cawker Building, 108 W. Wells St., will be home to a new restaurant called "Yaffa" -- which means "beautiful" in Hebrew -- in September. Owner John Chitko promises exotic flavors and an easy vibe.
