The Nice Outfit dons a well-fitted new EP
Over the years, Paul Wall and Terry Hackbarth have been the driving force behind two British Invasion-fed power pop outfits, Trolley and The Nice Outfit. The latter band has a new EP.

No Kiss For New Years evolves with "Phases"
The second release from Milwaukee's No Kiss For New Years, "We Go Through Phases," makes its debut on Friday, Feb. 17 at Shank Hall. No Kiss frontman Gregory Borden, who will be performing an acoustic solo set, is opening for Michelle Anthony and Dustworks. Show time is 10 p.m. and the cover is $8.

The Static Model makes no apologies for new disc
For two years, The Static Model has been working on what became its EP, titled "Sorry Everybody." With three relatively new tracks and three demos that turned into something more, the band hopes no listener will be sorry after lending an ear to the disc.

Wilco's Bennett helps West of Rome find its sound
Milwaukee bands are getting awfully friendly with Jay Bennett, formerly of Wilco. Last year, Michelle Anthony released her Bennett-produced disc, and now her friends West of Rome follow suit, even though their disc was recorded earlier.
