Prediction: mediocrity with bouts of brilliance and futility
As a sports fan, I've become accustomed to mediocrity. So, as I read your talkbacks to Dave Begel's column this week about the Brewers' chances of turning things around this season, I'm reminded of why I like the teams I do.

Cementing a baseball tradition in Queens
As we rode the number 7 train east toward the "Mets-Willets Point" stop on Sunday, my son asked, "Are you sad that Shea Stadium is gone?" "Baseball polygamist" explains his dual loyalties
While some believe fans can't divide their loyalties, those folks haven't met Milwaukee's Joey Buchholz. If you could choose, would you prefer December or March to stay warm and snowless in Milwaukee?
December. I'm not ready for winter yet.
March. By then, I need winter to be over.
There's no use complaining or hoping for better weather in Wisconsin.
Actually, I like snow.
