Weather Center Cafe serves an array of meat and vegetarian / vegan items. Coffee drinks are made with Alterra beans. Everything is made fresh, including the quiches, muffins, scones, bagels, cookies and spanakopita. "These vary like the weather," reads the menu.

You could be forgiven for driving right past Habaneros Mexican Kitchen, 869 N. Mayfair Rd., in Wauwatosa. From the outside, the restaurant looks unassuming, almost anonymous. But pass it at your own risk.
