Barrett not likely to run for governor
Democratic insiders believe Milwaukee Mayor Tom Barrett will decide not to launch a campaign to be Wisconsin's next governor, and some say Gov. Jim Doyle is "shopping" for another candidate to challenge Barbara Lawton for the party's nomination.

Mayor responds to Saturday night's attack
At his first press conference since being released from the hospital Monday after a brutal attack Saturday night, Mayor Tom Barrett appeared with his hand in a cast, stitches on his cheek and was visibly tired. But his message was strong.
