In the meantime, gear up with some college basketball -- Wisconsin, Marquette and Milwaukee are all home this weekend; the Wave opens the home portion of its season and UW-Whitewater needs one more victory for a trip to the Stagg Bowl.

In 25th season, Wave gets ready for an Xtreme debut
In many ways, it will be "business as usual" when the Wave kicks off its 25th season of indoor soccer Saturday night at U.S. Cellular Arena. There will, however, be one major difference. The game against Detroit will mark Milwaukee's first as a member of the Xtreme Soccer League, a four-team outfit that has centralized operations in an effort to reduce costs and plant the seed for future grown.

Wave's Howes named MVP, Tozer Coach of the Year
Milwaukee Wave forward Greg Howes notched another post season honor today by being named the 2007-08 MISL Most Valuable Player. This marks the third time that "the Howitzer" nabbed the MVP award, named for legendary indoor soccer player Hector Marinaro.
