Legendary is the allure of absinthe, and the Green Fairy cast its spell on everyone from painter Vincent van Gogh to author Oscar Wilde to composer Erik Satie and many of their 19th and early 20th century contemporaries. And we just gave it a taste test.

If hanging out in taverns and getting loaded in broad daylight is a regular occurrence for you, and you don't hold a third-shift job, well, you might have a problem. On the other hand, if every once and a while, on a hot summer afternoon or during a Packers' Sunday, you make the commitment to tying one before noon, then day drinking can be pretty cool.
