With Kenny Baldwin's passing, Milwaukee loses a scenemaker

Though Kenny Baldwin was a drummer with local bands like Colour Radio and Locate Your Lips, he was most influential behind the scenes at his family's club, The Starship, and for his many years of production work at Summerfest. Beloved by everyone who knew him, Baldwin lost a long battle with cancer on Friday.


Dr. Bronner's son / soap company VP passes away

Ralph Bronner, the son of eccentric soap giant "Dr." Emanuel H. Bronner, died after suffering a heart attack. He was 78. Bronner, who served as the multi-million dollar soap company's vice president and spokesman, lived in Menomonee Falls.


Remembering R&B/soul legend Bobby Womack

A true R&B and soul legend, Bobby Womack died last week at the age of 70. Womack played African World Festival here in Milwaukee maybe 18 years ago. It was a hot muggy night, not unlike tonight.
