Flying in and getting schooled on Oshkosh

That Oshkosh has a neighborhood called Brooklyn was just one of many, many things I didn't know about this city of 66,000 on the shores of Lake Winnebago. Though even just a single day spent exploring the city helped open my eyes to some of the charms of Oshkosh, I know there's still more to discover.

One Brewers super-fan, Amy Williams, has garnered even more attention than most. The season-ticket holder known as "Front Row Amy" became national news when Deadspin.com blogged about her, and her "15 minutes of fame" continues as the Brewers battle into the post-season. The Oshkosh resident took a few minutes with us to talk about the Crew, and what's it's like to be an online sensation.

When I saw Andy Tarnoff's blog about the mystery "Brewer's girl," I, like everyone else who landed on OnMilwaukee.com's home page, felt compelled to click. I am fascinated with this super fan who, although she is married, commutes an hour and a half from Oshkosh to Miller Park for each and every Brewer's game - alone.
