Some new love for Juneau Park
Juneau Park, 801 N. Lincoln Memorial Dr., features a statue of Solomon Juneau, great views of Lake Michigan and is perched within walking distance of many marquee destinations. Yet it, like many parks, needs a little extra "something."

A $315 bailout for the County Parks Department
The Milwaukee County Parks Department needed its own economic bailout to the tune of $315. The Parks Department had to suspend its effort to rid Jacobus Park of invasive species the likes of buckthorn and honeysuckle since it ran out of money for herbicides. The Charles Jacobus Neighborhood Association chipped in the money this week to finish the job.

Friends of Bradford Beach, a group formally supported by Milwaukee County's The Park People, debuts a new rendering of its vision for Bradford Beach and a model of its dramatic new playground area Saturday at the Bradford Beach Jam.
