While I've been off the grid, lots of stuff has been going on in the Milwaukee hip-hop scene. New projects have dropped, new singles have been released, and new music videos have been exploding all over the interwebs.

The Gufs, I'm Not A Pilot, Prophetic, Shaker and the Egg and Project Pink will perform at the 32nd annual Wisconsin Area Music Industry Awards Show Sunday, April 15 at the Fox Cities Performing Arts center in Appleton.

If you look around the Internet, there is no shortage of tracks dedicated to the Green Bay Packers and their success. Last year we saw Prophetic and Pizzle do a remix of Wiz Khalifa's song "Black and Yellow" - appropriately titled "Green and Yellow" - that caught on like a wildfire around the state, gaining over half a million YouTube hits and spins on radio stations. Going into this season, the trio known as Born Brothaz - who are, indeed, all brothers - released a song dedicated to the Green and Gold called "Go Pack Go."

Hip Hop Hates HIV / AIDS is Friday, Sept. 23 at The Cactus Club, 2496 S. Wentworth Ave. Doors open at 9 p.m. and the records will spin at 10 p.m.
