The Prospect Mall closes next Sunday (the cinema closes this weekend), and for many, it's good riddance. Most Milwaukeeans probably won't miss the dusty, dim "mall" with the funky smell -- but I certainly will.

Izumi's new digs are a mixed bag
After 15 years, Izumi's restaurant moved next door, into the old Milwaukee Western Fuel Co. building. The new dining space is much larger and classier, but some aspects of the new environment leave diners perplexed.

This Sucks: We want Downtown movies!
Just look at any old photo of Downtown Milwaukee and you'll see a downtown strip lined with movie houses. These days, the closest "Downtown movie theater" is the Oriental or Prospect Mall Cinema, both of which are by no means Downtown. Brew City needs a Downtown cinema.
