The sun carries almost no heat or warmth. A sharp face-tingling chill greets you as turn every corner on the street. There's not even any wonderful white snow on the ground to make the weather seem any more pleasant. Nope, it's just cold. It's hard to think of a better, more fitting time for Sheryl Crow, the singer-songwriter behind warm, summery hits like "Soak Up the Sun" and "All I Wanna Do," to come to town.

It might have taken a long time for Mellencamp and King to put the haunted musical "Ghost Brothers of Darkland County" together, but for the audience at the Riverside Theater on Tuesday night, their diligence was appreciated.

Congress out in Washington D.C. may be struggling to get the band back together and in working order, much to the frustration of every single American citizen, but The Congress from Denver, however, isn't having any of those issues. Much the opposite of their titular government officials, the old school rock and roll band has been growing in popularity, due in most part to their soulful brand of classic rock music.
