Kathy Papineau has dedicated her life to the earth, community, economy and the individual. Last fall, Papineau opened a commercial kitchen in Riverwest, called MkeKitchen, at 531 E. Keefe Ave. She leases the space to multiple local businesses and operates her own catering business, Mke Localicious.

Cafe Vocar opened quietly a few months back in Riverwest. The cafe, which is open Friday-Sunday, has a European-influenced menu but does offer the Midwest famous fish fry on Fridays.
