Who is Pink Banana and what is a Mullet Show?!
In 2004, UWM theater students Juanita Cordova and Carissa Svatek created Pink Banana Theatre to intergrate avant-garde theater into the community. Their "Summer Mullet Show" is at the Astor Theatre, Aug. 12-13 and 19-20.

Revamped Astor Theatre offers opportunity for originality to flourish
Jim Searles opened the Brady Street Pharmacy, on the corner of Brady and Astor Streets, in 1984. Twenty years later, he traded in a grocery section for a stage, and re-opened the Astor Theatre.
