Safe House is big fun for clandestine kids
There are plenty of reasons why you shouldn't take your kids to the Safe House. The kids' menu is limited, the place tolerates smoking and it's as much of a bar as it is a restaurant. But despite these potential red flags, take them anyway. The Safe House is a slice of classic Milwaukee and the campy spy theme is a sure hit with agents of all ages.

Best bar for a secret rendezvous, 2009: At Random
Looking for a dark, quiet, out of the way place to enjoy an intimate evening with that special someone? If so, and you're an OnMilwaukee.com reader, there's a better than one in four chance your in Bay View `s At Random, 2501 S. Delaware Ave. The beer-free lounge on the corner of Russell and Delaware topped the charts in the OnMilwaukee.com readers' poll.

Best theme bar, 2009: Safe House
Once again, OnMilwaukee.com readers picked the spy-themed Safe House as Milwaukee's top theme bar. The old school Milwaukee-themed Bomb Shelter came in second place. The décor is a tribute to the days when Milwaukee ruled the brewing industry.
