One of the oldest watering holes in the city, the White House, 2900 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., is celebrating its 125th birthday on Saturday and Sunday, Oct. 1-2 with drink specials, games, raffles, food and more, as well as a food drive for Hunger Task Force.

Paul Bialas became an author when he published hardcover photography books featuring the former Pabst and Schlitz Breweries. Now, Bialas turns his lens toward Miller Brewery. We caught up with him to ask him about the new book and how it came to be.

Starting Jan. 11, the Milwaukee County Historical Society, 910 N. Old World Third St., will be drenched in beer. Beer history, that is. The museum hosts "Brew City MKE: Craft, Culture, Community," a comprehensive look at brewing and beer in Milwaukee from 1840 to the present.
