As we rode the number 7 train east toward the "Mets-Willets Point" stop on Sunday, my son asked, "Are you sad that Shea Stadium is gone?" "Yes," I said and my son followed with the classic little kid follow-up. "Why?" "Well," I told him, "because that's where I saw all the baseball games when I was a kid like you."

"Baseball polygamist" explains his dual loyalties
While some believe fans can't divide their loyalties, those folks haven't met Milwaukee's Joey Buchholz. Buchholz -- who lives in Greenfield and works at the UW Credit Union -- is a fan of both his hometown Brewers and his adopted New York Mets. He is also the author of a self-published book about his dual fandom, "Two Loves: The Story of a Baseball Polygamist."
