A re-defined Swig goes down smoothly in new Third Ward spot
Joe and Angie Sorge were about a month in to their original Swig location at 1225 N. Water St. when they realized that the party time prowess of Milwaukee's biggest bar district was not the right setting for their martini lounge meets small plate dining concept.

Water Buffalo is fun and kitchy and the food is good, too
Multiple visits to Water Buffalo yielded good results; while not every item on the menu we sampled was something we would order again, Water Buffalo's strength is their location, atmosphere and the unique architectural design.

Shuttered Sauce will return as reborn Swig
If all goes as planned, Swig, formerly located on Water Street, will reopen in the early spring in a new location at 217 N. Broadway in the Third Ward, replacing Sauce, which will close after eight years.
