Few of us have to show up for work wearing white dinner jackets, but Aaron Schmidt, Tommy Lueck, Don Lobacz and Reginald T. Kurschner are eager to do so. That's because they are the Four Guyz in Dinner Jackets, a quartet that croons the tunes of the `50s and `60s.

Now in its third year, the annual Milwaukee Ukulele Festival - sponsored by The Milwaukee Ukulele Club - moves to a new home. The event, founded and run by Milwaukee musician Lil' Rev, has been growing each year. This year's all-day festival takes place Saturday, Sept. 24 at Sunset Playhouse, 800 Elm Grove Rd., in Elm Grove.

For 50 years, the Sunset Playhouse has been synonymous with community theater, and community theater is synonymous with unpaid performers. But the Sunset has been remaking itself, and it no longer is exclusively amateur.

"Jersey Boys," which has settled in to the Marcus Center for four weeks, is more than a concert by an exceptional tribute band. It is an extremely shrewd piece of theater that hooks us with clever theatricality.
