Each week David Dye, host of NPR's "World Cafe" music show - broadcast in Milwaukee on 88.9 - picks an emerging artist to feature for a week as a "World Cafe: Next" artist. Next week, beginning Monday, that band will be Milwaukee's Surgeons In Heat, according to frontman Johnathon Mayer. In related news, Jaill's second Sub Pop record is being mastered today.
