Lawyers continue to reap from Jude case
The case of Frank Jude continues to haunt Milwaukee. And it continues to cost the city money. This time it will result in a settlement for two of Jude's companions on that ill-fated October 2004 night in Bay View. Kirsten Antonissen and Katie Brown filed a claim against the city saying their civil rights were violated that evening when police beat Jude to a bloody pulp.

Privatization talks continues to taxi at airport
The idea to privatize Milwaukee's Mitchell International Airport refuses to be grounded. The airport actually makes money for the county and isn't in major disrepair or in need of an overhaul, yet some local officials continue to carry the torch for selling it off.

Chief's civilian plan stymied
It is the unthinkable. Civilians running the Milwaukee Police Department. That vision, at least part of it, was the brainchild of new Police Chief Ed Flynn, whose plan to reorganize the command structure at MPD was thwarted by the Common Council this week.
