Since 1997, Gaelic Storm has been one of Milwaukee Irish Fest's biggest draws. Every year on Friday, Sunday and Saturday evenings the Miller Lite Oasis plays host to the biggest, loudest, most Irish party in town. We honestly, seriously, really, didn't know when we planned our annual work/fun trip to Sin City that it would coincide with the Adult Video News Expo at the Hard Rock Casino's meeting hall. After all, this annual junket is more about a winter getaway than anything else. But when we found ourselves credentialed to the porn and adult novelty show, we knew it would play a prominent role in bringing our readers along for the ride. Las Vegas means so many different things to so many different people. But it means different things to the same people, too.

Although the Super Bowl will capture the majority of TV viewers Sunday evening, it's only on one channel and there are plenty of other options ... Remember Dawn Hasbrouck? She's heading to Chicago ... And Betty White may provide some laughs on Sunday evening.

The Milwaukee Public Museum's "Titanic" exhibition is offering up real pieces of coal from the legendary ship that came to its untimely end in 1912. Available in the museum's gift shop, the coal gifts range in price from $14.99 to $349.99, and come in loose pieces, jewelry and large chunks framed in a shadow box.

Most of us are familiar, if not fascinated, with Titanic's historic tragedy and the real objects and real stories presented in the Milwaukee Public Museum's "Titanic -- The Artifact Exhibition," opening Friday, Oct. 10 and running through May 25, 2009, bring us even closer to the fateful events of April 14 and 15, 1912.
