Aubrey Jensen hasn't been bartending for that long, but she knows what she likes. She makes a good Old Fashioned (because she likes them) and doesn't mind making a Bloody Mary (also because she likes them). The bartender at Tonic Tavern, 2335 S. Kinnickinnic Ave., comes from Appleton but does her drinking in her current neighborhood, Bay View.

Even though "lounge" is one of the quintessential categories in "best of bars" contests the world over, what exactly separates a lounge from a pub from a bar from a tavern? We didn't know, either, but we certainly couldn't disagree with our readers, who again picked Bryant's, 1579 S. St., as their favorite.

Former Milwaukeean Jeff Castelaz is back on his bike starting this weekend in support of the Pablove Foundation. Castelaz started the foundation after the death of his son Pablo from cancer last year. To help kick off the ride - albeit from afar - is a Pablove benefit on Saturday at The Tonic Tavern in Bay View.
