Volpe strikes gold with Holiday House
It has been more than seven years since Chef Joe Volpe first took the Milwaukee restaurant scene by storm, and his resume is astonishing: Vinifera at the Passeggio in 1999, Sauce in 2000, four splendid years of ongoing culinary delight at Tess. But, Volpe has truly outdone himself this time with Holiday House.

Balzac's tastes please, even if portions are small for Milwaukee palates
Recognizing that many Milwaukeeans view restaurant quality by the amount of food they are served, Balzac might not be the place to bring grandma for dinner. But Balzac deserves your attention. Quite simply, the food is, in Milwaukee terms, real good eatin'.
