It seems like every year I get aggravated enough to complain and moan about what driving over potholes in the City of Milwaukee does to my car, and this year is no exception. But this year, instead of saying it's like a mogul skiing track, I've got statistics.

For some people, this weather isn't cold. Cold is running into a freezing body of water - maybe wearing a costume, maybe wearing just a swimsuit - submerging themselves in completely and then racing back out again with a brand new layer of icicles. Some might call that insanity. For the past 15 years, however, Special Olympics Wisconsin has called it the Polar Plunge.

I might have taken the whole "embrace winter" thing a degree too far, but when temperatures dip below zero, I find myself wanting to do the least wintery things I can think of.
